This is Texas

This is Texas is an oil painting of a typical Texas scene. The vast, open plain, with a dark, looming storm cloud overhead is something that happens during certain parts of the year out here. The sky opens up to beautiful, powerful and dramatic clouds. Three beautiful longhorn cattle graze peacefully in the foreground, seemingly oblivious to the approaching storm but they know it's there and they will soon be inside. I wanted to capture a sense of peaceful tranquility, yet with a hint of impending danger.
